Major changing could bring a major change to my life
I just started to study heat and mass transfer this semester. It is definitely the hardest amongst? among? all of the modules I have had or having currently but it is really fun. To give those who don’t study chemical engineering some ideas of what is heat and mass transfer, it is basically about the rate of heat transfer (usually in Watt) between different medium and rate of mass transfer (molecular diffusion and convective diffusion both have to be taken into account) between air, gas, liquid. Sounds really fun right? Back to my point, this has given me same vague ideas about material engineering. I looked through the information about what they study for material engineering and it seems really interesting to me. Another reason of why I am thinking of changing my major is because I heard that in order to work in semiconductor industry, material engineering degree is a better choice. I don’t really dream to work but I really don’t know if I’ll like my palm oil industry, oil and gas, glove industry (who cares about gloves?). I would be happy if any one of you can share your experience with me.
